RunMyTrack ("we", "us") is a playlist generation tool that connects to your Spotify, Deezer, or YouTube account to create running playlists calibrated to your pace and heart-rate zones.
What we collect
Spotify ID and display name — to identify your account across sessions.
OAuth tokens — stored encrypted in our database to create playlists on your behalf. We never store your Spotify, Deezer, or Google password.
Playlist generation history — distance, objective, and track count, to enforce the free-tier limit and show your history.
Strava activity data — cadence, pace, and HR if you connect Strava. Read-only. Not stored beyond your session — used only in the moment to personalise playlist BPM targets.
What we do NOT collect
We do not store your listening history.
We do not share your data with third parties.
We do not use your data for advertising.
How we use your data
Your Spotify token is used exclusively to create playlists in your own Spotify library. We request the minimum scopes required:
playlist-modify-private, playlist-modify-public, user-top-read, user-read-email.
Your Strava token is used exclusively to read activity data (cadence, pace, HR) in read-only mode. Scopes requested: activity:read, read. No Strava data is stored.
Data retention
You can disconnect your Spotify or Strava account at any time via the header menu. This clears your session. To request permanent deletion of your stored data, email us.
Third-party data sources
BPM metadata is partially sourced from GetSongBPM. Only track artist and title are sent as a lookup query; no personal data is transmitted.
BPM detection also uses the Deezer API. Only track ISRC and artist/title are sent; no personal data is transmitted.
