Privacy Policy
At RunMyTrack, we process your data strictly for the purpose of generating personalized running playlists.
Data We Collect
- Spotify Data: We read your top artists, tracks, and genres to discover your musical taste. We also require permission to create and modify playlists on your behalf.
- Strava Data: We read your run history to understand your typical pace and distance. This is used solely to configure the playlist's BPM targets.
Data Processing & Retention
Your Spotify and Strava data are processed transiently during playlist generation. We do not sell or share your data with third parties. OAuth tokens are stored securely to allow seamless generation and can be revoked at any time.
Third-Party API Disclosures (2026)
- YouTube Data API: We use the YouTube Data API Services to search for tracks and create YouTube Music playlists on your behalf. Your use of this feature is subject to Google's Privacy Policy. We do not store YouTube watch history or personal data beyond what is needed to create the playlist. You can revoke our YouTube access at any time via your Google Account permissions.
- Spotify Web API: Music discovery, candidate search, and playlist creation use the Spotify Web API. We do not use Spotify's Audio Analysis or Audio Features endpoints. Data accessed via Spotify is used solely to generate your running playlist and is not retained beyond the session.
- GetSongBPM: BPM metadata is partially sourced from GetSongBPM. No personal data is transmitted; only track artist and title are sent as a lookup query.
